Malaria

So, we have found out that we are going to be living in Vung Tao, a beach city south of Ho Chi Min. We are going to be there for about 1 1/2 years, so I was wondering do we need malaria tablets shots? What other appropriate shots do we need to get?

Basketball (Playing) Locations

Anyone recommend basketball places? Would like a more private place to practice work, on my schools, and then a good place for a good game. Now that I'm any good, but VN style of ball is no fun. More suited for Western "rules" and understanding. Don't mind paying a premium for both, having fun is important.

Hotel rec and online map info

Am coming down to Saigon for a brief w/e conference at the end of July. Wondering if anyone can pass on the following:

1. An online map of Saigon showing districts/neighborhoods. Want to be in a hotel near the conference, and thats at Reunification Palace.

2. Any affordable hotels within walking distance to Reunification Palace . Price range for 2 people under $50, if possible.
